DOTF 8/6: Ford Proctor hits walk-off homer for Hudson Valley

The offensive performance of the night belonged to Ford Proctor who hit two triples and a walk-off homer for the Hudson Valley Renegades. Benton Moss (Montgomery) and Josh Fleming (Port Charlotte) put together strong starts.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (60-46)

The Durham Bulls had the day off.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (62-52)

The Montgomery Biscuits crushed the Pensacola Blue Wahoos 12-2. The Biscuits raced out to a 9-0 lead through the second. The Blue Wahoos scored their two runs in the bottom of the seventh. Benton Moss put together another solid start going 6.0 scoreless innings allowing four hits and no walks while striking out three. Nick Solak and Dalton Kelly collected three hits a piece.

Port Charlotte Stone Crabs (59-50)

The Port Charlotte Stone Crabs defeated the Bradenton Marauders 2-1. Josh Fleming allowed a run in the first, but put together a very good outing. Fleming went 7.2 IP while striking out seven and not walking anybody. Vidal Brujan made his presence known in his debut for Port Charlotte scoring from second on a strike three wild pitch. Josh Lowe put the go ahead run on the board after a single and stealing second. Rene Pinto drove in the game winning run.

Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods (73-40)

The Bowling Green Hot Rods fell to the South Bend Cubs 5-4. The Cubs took a 5-0 lead before the Hot Rods rallied for four runs over the final two frames, but fell short of the victory. Taylor Walls led the way with three hits and two RBI.

The Hudson Valley Renegades defeated the Brooklyn Cyclones 6-5. After falling behind 3-0 Chris Betts tied the game up with a three-run homer in the bottom of third. Down one heading into the bottom the ninth, Adrian Rondon got things started on a good foot with a walk. Frank Proctor sent the home fans happy with a two run walk-off homer for his first professional home run.
