FanPost Friday: What is your greatest hope for the 2019 Rays?

The future looks bright

MLB: New York Yankees at Tampa Bay Rays Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The dreams of a playoff run may be over, and the regular season is winding down, but for the Rays, things are ending on as positive a note as could be hoped. Sure, the Yankees kicked some dirt on them this week, but this is still a team that’s likely to hit 90 wins in one of the toughest divisions in the American League, and their ace is rolling his way towards a Cy Young victory.

That’s not a bad year.

It’s also a season that saw a wave of brand new young talent take the field, all while the farm managed to somehow get better. This is a team with a lot to be excited about, as they’ve shown time and again this year.

With that excitement in mind, we want to know what your greatest hopes are for the team next season. Is it more wins? A trip to the playoffs? Perhaps a healthy Brent Honeywell making his much-hyped debut and living up to the excitement. For me, I confess, it would be Kevin Kiermaier getting through an entire year without breaking any bones.

We want to know what has you excited for 2019, and what you hope the Rays will bring to the field.

Head over to the FanPost section, select “New FanPost” on the left, and tell us what you want to see from this team next year.
