Yesterday, news broke that the Tampa Bay Rays were nearing a deal with free agent outfielder, Avisail Garcia.
Garcia is coming off an injury plagued season with the Chicago White Sox. However, he is one year removed from a breakout, All-Star campaign in 2017. Garcia can play in the outfield a bit, but is average to below average. He figures to be the Rays designated hitter to start out the season.
