Introduce yourself to the DRaysBay community!

We’ve got 162 games ahead of us, let’s get to know each other!

It was the night before Opening Day, and under the dome, every worker was ready, for the Rays to come home.

Ah, Opening Day, a time for excitement, unbridled enthusiasm, and boundless hope for the season to come. As fans prepare for the opening series against the Astros, we here at DRaysBay want to take a moment to welcome you. All offseason long we’ve been writing posts, talking about prospects, extensions, and getting our readers ready for the season ahead. Our goal here is to make sure you have all the Rays news that’s fit to print as soon as it’s made available.

But this is a community site, and without you, we’re writing for no one. It’s you guys, our readers and commenters, who make this all work.

So today, as we wait for regular season baseball to return, we want to greet any new readers who joined us over the winter. Welcome! Take a moment to familiarize yourself with our rules (basically — be nice!); our masthead (the hard workers writing and editing your daily content!); and take a peek at the FanPosts section (we have a new prompt every weekday during the season!).

Then whether you’re a new reader or someone who has been here for years, head down to the comments and tell us a little bit about yourselves. We’re in this together for the season, so let’s take this time to get to know the real people behind the screen names.
