Jesus Sanchez (Montgomery) and Chris Betts (Bowling Green) were the offensive stars of the night on the farm. Sanchez picked up three hits including a double with three RBI. Betts hit his first homer of the season as part of two hit night where he scored three runs and drove in four.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (3-7)
The Durham Bulls continued their slow start with a 10-6 loss to the Norfolk Tides. Faria didn’t make it out of the fourth allowing four runs, three earned. Colin Poche followed allowing five runs in 1.1 innings of work. Jake Smolinski mashed a three run homer in the fourth to take a 6-2 lead at the time. Nate Lowe and Andrew Velazquez put up two doubles a piece.

The Montgomery Biscuits defeated the Mobile BayBears 6-2. The Biscuits got out to a quick lead with a four run lead with the bulk of the damage coming from a two RBI double by Jesus Sanchez. Kevin Padlo hit his first homer of the season to extend the lead to 5-0 in the second. Sanchez led the way with three hits and three RBI.

Class A-Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (3-9)
The Charlotte Stone Crabs extended their losing streak to six with a 6-1 loss to the Dunedin Blue Jays. Vidal Brujan doubled home the first run of the game in the third inning. The Blue Jays tied the game in the fourth and scored five runs in the final three frames to take home the win.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods defeated the Lake County Captains 12-5. The Hot Rods didn’t waste anytime getting on the board with a six run first. The Hot Rods added on late with five runs in the final two frames. Chris Betts launched his first homer of the season.
