Rays prospects and minor leagues: Chris Betts and Roberto Alvarez homer for Bowling Green

The Durham Bulls and Charlotte Stone Crabs converted ninth inning rallies for wins. Chris Betts and Roberto Alvarez led an offensive outburst for Bowling Green with homers.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (4-8)

The Durham Bulls defeated the Norfolk Tide 5-4. Luis Santos and Austin Pruitt threw 3.0 innings allowing two runs (one earned) each. Through five the Bulls were down 4-3. Christian Arroyo came through with a two run double to take the lead. Arroyo collected two doubles.

The Montgomery Biscuits fell to the Mobile BayBears 4-1. The Biscuits collected seven hits, but couldn’t string much together to put runs on the board. Dalton Kelly, Robbie Tenerowicz, and Brett Sullivan collected two hits a piece. Jesus Sanchez walked twice. Arturo Reyes went 7.0 strong innings allowing two runs with six strikeouts and no walks.

The Charlotte Stone Crabs came from behind for a 4-3 victory over the Dunedin Blue Jays. Moises Gomez collected two hits including his first homer of the season. Garrett Whitley collected two hits. Tobias Myers threw 4.0 innings allowing three runs (two earned). Gomez walked it off with a bases loaded sacrifice fly with one out.

Roberto Alvarez and Chris Betts hit their second homers of the season. Wander Franco picked up two RBI with a double.
