Rays prospects and minor leagues: Wander Franco launches first homer of the season

Wander Franco (Bowling Green) extended his hitting streak to ten games with his first homer of the season while picking up two walks. During his hit streak he is hitting .378 (14-for-37) with five doubles, one triple, and a homer while being issued six walks and being hit by a pitch and striking out only three times.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (8-10)

The Durham Bulls defeated the Louisville Bats 4-2 in a rain shortened game. Durham fell behind 2-0 through two frames. Homers by Christian Arroyo and Mike Brosseau led the Bulls comeback. Aaron Slegers was credited with the five inning complete game.

The Montgomery Biscuits defeated the Mississippi Braves 6-4. The Biscuits went ahead 3-0 thanks to single runs in three of the front four frames. The Braves cut to lead to 3-2 before the Biscuits put up a three spot in the eighth to put the game away. Jesus Sanchez picked up two hits including a double. Robbie Tenerowicz hit a homer.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods vanquished the Fort Wayne TinCaps 9-2. Wander Franco continued his hot streak launching his first homer of the season and walking twice. Kaleo Johnson homered twice as part of a three hit effort. Michael Plassmeyer went six strong innings in picking up the win.
