The Tampa Bay Rays are on a fantastic run right now.

They have won every game since their Opening Day loss to the Houston Astros. Over their past five games, they have yielded a total of five runs. Last night, Blake Snell and Wilmer Font combined to toss a two hit shutout against the Colorado Rockies.

Blake Snell dominated, going seven innings and racking up 13 strikeouts.

Offensively, Guillermo Heredia had the big knock as he brought in two runs during a three run first inning. Later on in the game, Christian Arroyo laced his first hit during his 2019 season debut, bringing home Kevin Kiermaier. Yandy Diaz drilled a double in the eighth, but limped into second base with an ankle injury. Daniel Robertson left the game in the second inning due to stomach issues.

Diaz and Robertson are both considered day-to-day, but the ailments come at the best time for the Rays with an afternoon contest today and an off day on Thursday.

Today, Charlie Morton takes on former Rays farmhand, German Marquez, with a 1:10 start time.
