Jesus Sanchez continues to heat up for Montgomery with two hits including a double. Ryan Yarbrough put together a solid start after reporting to Durham. Josh Lowe was hitless in the morning game before being able to make it to Kansas City to catch the end of his brother Nate Lowe’s MLB debut. Montgomery is off tomorrow.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (13-10)

The Durham Bulls outlasted the Norfolk Tides 10-6 in a slugfest. Yarbrough picked up his first start in Durham and put up a solid 5.0+ innings allowing two runs while striking out seven. Austin Pruitt couldn’t last the inning after coming in with one runner on in the sixth. Pruitt allowed the second run on Yarbrough ledger and three of his own while only completing two outs. Fortunately Mike Franco struck out Chance Sisco to end the sixth with the bases loaded and the Bulls only down 5-1. The Bulls mounted a rally in the bottom of the frame scoring seven to take a 8-5 lead. Three walks got the offense started with the big hit coming in the form of a three run homer off the bat of Jason Coats. The Bulls tacked on two insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth. Ryan Mountcastle homered for the Tides in the ninth, but failed to mount any additional threats.
