I am crazy about visiting other stadiums. As someone who lives in a city without a major league team, I need to travel for my dose of live baseball, so I like to plan my annual vacations around seeing new stadiums. Every summer I head off to a new locale and plan a route that will find me the most new parks along the way. As a result I’ve been to 17 of the current MLB stadiums, with a handful of new ones to come this summer.
This means I’ve seen some of the most loved (Dodgers Stadium, Oracle Park) and the most loathed (Oakland Coliseum, Tropicana Field — which I will defend to the death). I’ve had incredible experiences, and some less incredible ones. But each stadium is its own unique beast.
In this week’s FanPost Friday, we want to know what your most unique, exciting, or downright terrible experiences visiting a different stadium have been. Were the fans amazing, the view incredible (I see you, PNC Park).
Head over to the FanPost section and select “New FanPost” on the left, then share with us the standout memories you have of heading to different stadiums around the country.
