Mother’s Day is a little more than a week away — it’s May 12 in case you’ve forgotten to buy flowers — and it seems like a good time to bring up one of my favorite annual FanPost prompts: baseball memories with mom.
In the past, I’ve just asked folks to write a post about their best memories involving their mothers and baseball: be it mom teaching you to catch a ball (as mine unsuccessfully did), signing you up for your first Little League team, or taking you to your first baseball game. I’m still going to ask you to do that, but this time around I have a goal: I’d like to combine them into a post for Mother’s Day so we can all really appreciate what our moms do on a regular basis to help us love this game.
So head over to the FanPost section, select “New FanPost” on the left, and give us your most memorable baseball moments you shared with your mother. I’ll be here with my Kleenex, ready to get misty.
