What does the future hold for Vladimir Guerrero Jr?

He’s hitting .167 after five games. That means he’s a bust, right?

The baseball world has eagerly awaited the arrival of superstar prospect, Vladimir Guerrero Jr, and the Toronto Blue Jays finally gave everyone what they had been waiting for as they promoted the young third baseman last week.

In five games, Guerrero has just three hits over 21 plate appearances.

The question posed to fans this past week was this:

“How many wins above replacement will Vladimir Guerrero Jr. accumulate in his rookie season?”

The results were in favor of Guerrero accumulating less than 5 WAR. That makes sense; it would be very impressive for a 20 year old to accumulate more than 5 WAR in a less than full season.

In the usual weekly questions posed to Rays fans, the results were par for the course with Kevin Cash receiving a 97% approval rating, while 98% are confident in the direction of the team.
