Through nine innings, the Midwest League All-Star Game was tied at three. To decide it, each team chose a player for a one-round home run derby. The East naturally selected Monday’s home run derby winner, Chris Betts. He won it and flipped his bat:

After Romero struck out four in 6 1⁄3, two-hit innings, Chandler Raiden struck out four himself in 1 2⁄3 frames. Mikey York had two punchouts in the ninth. Thomas Milone singled in the first run in the second inning, and Carl Chester’s RBI single in the seventh added an insurance run.
