Jake Cronenworth and Kean Wong (Durham) were at the top of the International League’s offense in the AAA All-Star game. Cronenworth went 0-for-2 and Wong went 1-for-4 in the International League’s 9-3 loss.

The Durham Bulls had the day off.

The Montgomery Biscuits had the day off.

Class A-Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (49-35)

The Charlotte Stone Crabs defeated the Florida Fire Frogs 2-1. In the first Wander Franco singled and came around to score the first run of the game on a Jim Haley RBI groundout. In the fifth the Stone Crabs added a run on a RBI single by Michael Smith to take a 2-0 lead. Tommy Romero worked 5.2 innings as the bulk guy with seven strikeouts.

Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods (53-36)

The Bowling Green Hot Rods fell to the Beloit Snappers 9-8. The Hot Rods sprinted out to a 5-0 lead through the first inning on a RBI double by Chriss Betts and a pair of 2-RBI singles by Roberto Alvarez and Jonathan Aranda. The lead was short lived as the Snappers answered with a five run frame of their own in the second to tie the game at five. In the third Jordan Qsar homered and Osmy Gregorio hit a RBI single to take a 7-5 lead. In the sixth the Snappers scored three to take the lead. Aranda tied the game at eight in the bottom of the sixth. A bases loaded walk in the seventh ended up being the deciding run.

The Hudson Valley Renegades defeated the Staten Island Yankees 5-4. Jacson McGowan put the Renegades on the board with a RBI single in the first. In the third Greg Jones stole home as part of a double steal. McGowan singled home a run and the Renegades scored their third run of the frame on a double play. Jones singled home a run in the fourth to extend the lead to 5-1.

The DSL Rays 2 defeated the DSL Red Sox 2 10-2. The first three runs for the Rays 2 were scored on two passed balls and an errant pickoff throw. A fielder’s choice and RBI single by Angel Lopez gave the Rays 2 a 5-1 lead through three. 2 errors led to three runs in the fifth. Patrick Merino hit his 5th homer of the season in the sixth.
