The Tampa Bay Rays fell again last night, as their ninth inning rally fell just short with Austin Meadows grounding out with the bases loaded and the tying run on third base.
The loss has pushed the Rays into a tie for the second spot in the division and their free fall in the Wild Card chase continued as they are now two games back of the second Wild Card spot.
Charlie Morton and the Rays will look to avoid being swept by the Red Sox this afternoon.
