Triple-A Durham Bulls (69-57)
The Durham Bulls fell to the Charlotte Knights 13-11. Kevin Padlo’s RBI double in the fourth inning scored the only run for Durham while falling behind 11-1 through the middle of the sixth inning. In the bottom of the sixth the Bulls scored three runs. Padlo and Rocky Gale hit RBI singles and Daniel Robertson contributed a RBI groundout. In the seventh Padlo walked with the bases loaded and a wild pitch scored a second run to cut the deficit to 11-6. In the eighth the Knights extended their lead to 13-6. In the bottom of the inning Michael Perez and Emilio Bonifacio hit two-run homers and Nathan Lukes’s RBI single cut the lead to 13-11, but their rally fell short.

The Montgomery Biscuits defeated the Biloxi Shuckers 4-1. Luicus Fox put the Biscuits on the board with a steal of home in the first and Tristan Gray’s sacrifice fly gave the Biscuits a 2-0 lead. In the fifth Gray’s RBI single extended the lead to 3-0. In the sixth Rene Pinto added a RBI double to extend the lead to 4-0. The Shuckers put up a run in the eighth, but weren’t able to cut further into the deficit.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods defeated the Fort Wayne TinCaps 4-3. Jordan Qsar put the Hot Rods up 1-0 with RBI double in the first. A wild pitch later in the inning put them up 2-0. In the second Jonathan Aranda’s RBI double and Ruben Cardenas’s RBI single extended the Hot Rods lead to 4-0. The Hot Rods held on after allowing three runs combined in the eighth and ninth innings.

The Hudson Valley Renegades fell to the Staten Island Yankees 4-3. A wild pitch gave the Renegades a 1-0 lead in the second. After the Yankees tied the game in the top of the fourth, Greg Jones’s RBI single gave the Renegades a 2-1 lead. In the fifth Nick Sogard added a sacrifice fly to extend the lead to 3-1. The Yankees responded with three runs in the sixth inning.

The Princeton Rays defeated the Elizabethton Twins 8-2. The Rays sprinted out to a lead with a five run second inning. Angelo Armenta kicked off the scoring with a RBI single, Kevin Melendez added a RBI double. After the third run scored on a fielding error Jake Guenther’s RBI single to bring home the fourth run of the inning. Diego Infante’s RBI groundout scored the final run. In the third the Rays scored on a throwing error. Daiwer Castellanos’s RBI single in the fifth put the Rays up 8-1.

The DSL Rays 1 fell to the DSL Royals 1 5-1 in game one of a double header. The Royals 1 scored two runs in the first and the Rays 1 answered with a run on a passed ball to cut the deficit to 2-1. The game remained in that state until a three-run homer in the sixth that ended up being the final blow giving the Royals 1 a 5-1 lead.

The DSL Rays 2 defeated the DSL Cubs 1 7-4. Alfredo Balbeuna’s RBI single put the Rays 2 on the board in the third inning. In the fourth the offense exploded. Daury Del Rosario’s double scored the first run of the inning. Roimer Bolivar cleared the bases with a 3-RBI double. Balbuena added another RBI single to give the Rays 2 a 6-0 lead. Luis Feliz extended the lead to 7-0 on a bases loaded walk. The Cubs 1 mounted a rally with four runs in the bottom of the ninth, but fell short of the comeback.
