Triple-A Durham Bulls (75-64)

The Durham Bulls fell to the Gwinnett Stripers 8-5 in their final regular season game of the season. Entering the day the Bulls were tied for wild card lead with the Charlotte Knights holding the tie breaker in case of a tie. With ten games remaining the Bulls were four games behind, but had three head to head matchups remaining. Tyler Glasnow opened for the Bulls. Glasnow pitched around traffic on the bases allowing two doubles and two walks in his 1.1 innings of work. Before the Bulls pushed a run across in the fifth on a double play they found themselves staring at a 6-0 deficit. In the seventh the Stripers extended their lead to 8-1. The Bulls tired to mount a comeback in the eighth behind a solo homer by Michael Brosseau, RBI double by Emilio Bonifacio, and a two-run homer by Jason Coats. The four run frame cut the Stripers lead to 8-5, but the Bulls were unable to complete the comeback in the ninth.
