Rays History
On this date in 2011, the Tampa Bay Rays traded Matt Garza, Fernando Perez and Zac Rosscup to the Chicago Cubs for Hak-Ju Lee, Chris Archer, Robinson Chirinos, Sam Fuld and Brandon Guyer.
It worked out pretty well.
In 2001, The Oakland Athletics sent Ben Grieve to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. The Oakland Athletics sent Angel Berroa and AJ Hinch to the Kansas City Royals. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays sent Cory Lidle to the Oakland Athletics. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays sent Roberto Hernandez to the Kansas City Royals. The Kansas City Royals sent Johnny Damon and Mark Ellis to the Oakland Athletics.
In 2000, the Devil Rays signed Juan Guzman to a two year deal
These two moves, they did not work out.
Anyway, enjoy a Ben Grieve home run.
