With very little recovery time for our nerves, the Rays were back at it again in Game 1 of the ALCS. After another tight 2-1 victory, they have a 1-0 lead in the series, and are three wins away from the Fall Classic.

Although I’d appreciate it if the guys could win a little more comfortably, a win is a win is a win. John Curtiss, Ryan Thompson, and even Aaron Loup recorded some very valuable outs before Diego Castillo entered the game in the 8th inning to shut the door.

Despite an overall lack of offensive production, Randy Arozarena picked up another home run, and Mike Zunino came up with a huge hit that ultimately won the game.

Game 2 today, 4:07 EST first pitch. Hey, at least I won’t be working on another podcast past midnight. Let’s do it.
