ALCS Game 6 Lineup

Will tonight, be the night?

MLB: ALDS-Rays Workouts Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Astros managed to stave off defeat for another game, forcing a game six in the American League Championship Series.

The Tampa Bay Rays currently hold a 3-2 advantage over the Astros at 6:10 p.m. EST. For the past two days, they have been unsuccessful in punching their ticket to the World Series, but will look to get back to the Fall Classic tonight behind Blake Snell. The Astros will counter with Framber Valdez.

Valdez pitched in the opener of the ALCS, allowing two runs on four hits over six innings pitched in an eventual Houston loss.

During the regular season, Valdez appeared in 11 games — 10 starts — and finished the year with a 3.57 ERA / 2.85 FIP with a 26.4 K% and a 5.6 BB% over 70 23 innings pitched.

Kevin Kiermaier remains out of the lineup after suffering a left-hand contusion during Tuesday’s game. Manuel Margot is in center field, with Hunter Renfroe starting in right field, and Brandon Lowe taking over in left field with Randy Arozarena serving as the designated hitter.
