The postseason almost half completed, and the Rays are still in it (not saying anything to jinx us at this point), but as November draws near we are about to find ourselves once again in the long stretch of the offseason than non-fans call “winter.” With that comes all of the uncertainty and questions about who will stay, who will go, whose contract is over and if they’ll return (or what will happen with Charlie Morton’s vesting option), and if the team will actually spend any money before spring training.
While we can’t know who will be signed or traded over the offseason, we have plenty of insight to give us a window into what to expect next year (though who among us would have predicted the Randy Arozarena experience?)
So given what we know, and where the team has made it so far this season, which one (or two) people in the organization do you think are the most vital to the team’s success next year, and why? It doesn’t necessarily need to be a player, it can be the manager, the ownership, or anyone you can think of who might need to step up in order for the team to succeed in 2021.
Head over to the FanPost section, select “New FanPost” on the left, and then tell us who you think will need to make the biggest splash next year. Feel free to brag about it a lot in November 2021 if your person was a huge part of the team’s success.
