This is it.
The game that will decide the fates of two franchises as the Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees will engage in deciding game five of the American League Division Series tonight at 7:10 p.m. EST.
Both sides are going to ace pitchers on short rest, with the Rays turning to Tyler Glasnow (2 days rest) and the Yankees bringing Gerrit Cole (3 days rest) to the hill. It should be noted that Cole has not pitched on this short of rest before.
Everyone knows what Cole brings to the table; what’s unknown is just how long he’ll be on the hill for New York.
The Rays will look to Randy Arozarena to continue his scorching ways, while hoping that Ji-Man Choi will supplement his impressive resume against Gerrit Cole. Brandon Lowe remains in the two-spot, despite the major slump he is in with Kevin Cash hoping that he can reignite during the contest.
