In what was starting to feel like a long, boring winter, the Rays have finally made some moves. With Nate Lowe being traded to the Rangers, and Mike Zunino being brought back on a one-year deal (with an option for one more), we’re starting to get a much better idea of what the defending American League champs will look like when they report to Spring Training in a couple of months April (probably).
Although the Rays only lost one player and added zero in the Major League portion of the Rule 5 Draft, were there any noteworthy moves made? Danny and I discuss the addition of Jordan Brink to the Rays’ farm system, and what losing Paul Campbell means for the club.
We wrap things up by adding players to our Holiday Wish List. These are not predictions, as my last prediction was thrown out the window less than 24 hours after podcast release, with Lance Lynn being dealt to the Chicago White Sox. These are purely wishes, and with the way the market is shaping up there’s a good chance they stay that way.
