The Tampa Bay Rays have invited a current total of 22 players to spring training in Port Charlotte.

15 of the players invited were already members of the Rays organization, while the seven others were signed to minor league deals with an invite to camp.

Shane McClanahan is the highest ranked prospect to receive an invite to camp, but there will be other top prospects in camp, just not in an official capacity... sorry, Wander Franco.

Spring Training officially begins on February 12th in Port Charlotte, with the first workout taking place on the 13th. The full squad will report on the 18th and the first full squad workout will be on the 19th. The Rays will play their first game of the spring on February 22nd against the Boston Red Sox in Fort Myers.

In other news, the Tampa Bay Rays also re-signed outfielder Johnny Davis to a minor league deal, but without an invite to spring training.
