FanPost Friday: Baseball memories with mom

We love our moms and we love baseball.

Traditionally in baseball, Mother’s Day weekend is a time when the players don pink-accented uniforms, swing pink bats, and raise some money for breast cancer research while also celebrating their mothers.

Obviously with baseball currently being on hold, the usual MLB Mother’s Day festivities won’t be taking place this year, but it does seem like an ideal time for our annual mom-themed FanPost prompt.

Every year around this time we ask you to share your best baseball-themed memories with your mom, and this year is no different. Was your mom the first person to take you to a major league game? Was she the one who taught you the rules while watching games at home in your living room? Or was she — like my mom — the one to teach you how to break in a new glove and play catch?

We wanted to know how you and your mom share this wonderful game. Head over to the FanPost section, select “New FanPost” on the left, and share your memories. We’ll feature your stories in a round-up on Sunday, celebrating moms.
