Rays Your Voice: Daniel Endonino joins the show to talk Rays and Rowdies

How has Rays ownership changed the way the Rowdies operate?

On this week’s episode of Rays Your Voice I was joined by one of the Co-hosts of the Unused Substitutes Soccer Show, Daniel Endonino to discuss his Rays and Rowdies fandom. Last year, I had Matt Cox on the pod to talk about the Rowdies and dispel some misconceptions about St. Pete’s soccer team.

Dan and I talk about how the Rays ownership of the club has changed how they operate both on- and off-the-field, and share some excitement over the 2021 Rowdies season coming off an Eastern Conference Championship in 2020.

We also talk about the origins of Dan’s Rays fandom, and what made him fall in love with the team all over again during the 2020 season and playoff run. Without being too gloomy, we discuss the Montreal sister city plan that seems to be looming over the entire Rays fanbase at the moment. So, even if the soccer talk isn’t your cup of tea, there’s still plenty of conversation about the current state of the Rays and their fanbase.
