Tampa Bay Rays News & Links: Back Over .500

The Rays climb back over .500, Jomboy with a couple fun breakdowns, and Sergio Romo is a nice person

Isn’t it great waking up to a win? The Rays climbed back over .500 with their second straight win to start this road trip, and their third win in a row. They did it behind strong pitching from Shane McClanahan and Luis Patiño, a couple bombs from Austin Meadows, and some very shoddy Angels defense. Local stingray is feeling pretty jazzed.

Andrew Kitteridge will serve as the opener for today’s game. No official word at this time on who the bulk guy will be.

Michael Wacha goes on the IL, and Collin McHugh makes an early return. Things in the rotation (inasmuch as the Rays even have a rotation) will get interesting.

Wander Franco has three hits in his AAA debut, including a triple, leading the Bulls to a 7-5 win over Memphis.
