Isn’t it great waking up to a win? The Rays climbed back over .500 with their second straight win to start this road trip, and their third win in a row. They did it behind strong pitching from Shane McClanahan and Luis Patiño, a couple bombs from Austin Meadows, and some very shoddy Angels defense. Local stingray is feeling pretty jazzed.
Andrew Kitteridge will serve as the opener for today’s game. No official word at this time on who the bulk guy will be.
Andrew Kittredge will be the Rays' opener against the Angels on Wednesday.

Michael Wacha goes on the IL, and Collin McHugh makes an early return. Things in the rotation (inasmuch as the Rays even have a rotation) will get interesting.
With Michael Wacha out with hamstring tightness, the Rays plan to use Rich Hill in a starting role on Friday and will have to further manipulate the options in the bullpen. #Rays #RaysUp https://t.co/NzKU0HVuZn

The 538 on who the standout rookies are a month in.
Jake deGrom is injured, but thankfully not that injured.
Good news on Jacob deGrom: an MRI revealed only inflammation in his right lat. He will refrain from throwing for the next few days, but the Mets aren't placing him on the injured list.

Old friend Sergio Romo is a genuinely nice person.
At last week’s game against the Rays, A’s pitcher Sergio Romo got several players to sign a ball, & gave it to a fan with special needs sitting along the third base line, also posing for a photo with him ❤️❤️ Twitter help me find this fan! @kron4news #RiseAndGrind #mlb pic.twitter.com/e8nuOqUmgI
