Rays Your Voice: Trade Deadline recap, and an unnecessary explanation of why the Rays are good

The Rays are good, and it’s easy to see why.

Rays Your Voice is back after all the dust has settled from the July 30 Trade Deadline, and the 40-man roster is mostly set in stone heading into the pennant chase. Tyler Glasnow has now undergone Tommy John surgery and will miss all of this season and next. What does that mean for the rotation, and which pitchers will be getting the ball in October?

Despite their ace going under the knife, multiple trade targets landing elsewhere, and more relievers heading to the IL, the Rays keep winning. Why? Well you can choose whether or not to look at the numbers, but either way, it’s not very hard to tell; the Rays are good. How good? Well, you add an uptick in run production to an already elite pitching and defensive team, and that’s a recipe for success. The runs aren’t all coming from the bats, however.
